Department of Clinical Health Professions within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
The Department has 59 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members with clinical specialties in clinical pharmacy, physician assistant studies, radiologic science, clinical laboratory science, and the newly established physical therapy. The Department offers Doctor of Pharmacy, M.S. in Physician Assistant, B.S. in Radiologic Science, B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science, and newly established Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
The Department of Clinical Health Professions is seeking applications for 2 (two) twelve-month, tenure track Assistant Professor positions to teach within the newly established entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Primary teaching responsibilities include neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary/vascular, or integumentary system content. Additional teaching responsibilities are possible in areas of clinical or academic expertise. All department faculty participate in department, college and university service, and scholarly activity. The ideal candidate would have a commitment to excellence in teaching and work well in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented environment.
Candidates must hold an earned academic doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.Sc.) and/or DPT degree. Board Certification is preferred. Candidates must be a currently licensed physical therapist in any United States jurisdiction and eligible for NY State licensure. Prior teaching, research, and scholarly activity in a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy academic program is preferred.
