The Medical University of South Carolina’s clinical enterprise (MUSC Health) is seeking a physician executive leader to serve as the ICCE (Integrated Center for Clinical Excellence) Chief for Health, Wellness and Human Performance. This is a newly created role requiring both clinical and administrative expertise.

Across the MUSC Health enterprise, this initiative will help create and deliver evidence-based efforts to incorporate the principles of exercise, nutrition and mental health into the management of chronic diseases and conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension; serious illnesses, such as cancer and cardiac disease; as well as primary, secondary and tertiary disease prevention.

• Overall program leadership and program development role, including the collaborative formulation and execution of initiatives to successfully implement the strategic vision, goals and objectives of the ICCE
• Creates and maintains an environment that facilitates collaboration with the academic mission; adheres to the mechanism(s) that integrate ICCE clinical activities and priorities with MUSC research and education initiatives
• Collaborates with community providers to advance innovation of clinical delivery and drive value in population management
• Manages financial reporting, forecasting, P/L and annual budget preparation; evaluated on financial performance of the ICCE
• Able to direct and influence the business unit in a meaningful way and will be held accountable for associated metrics that assess not only the internal performance of the ICCE, but also its ability to efficiently support the delivery of care across other ICCEs
• Reports to MUSC Health Operations leadership and maintain a matrixed relationship with physician leaders at MUSC Health affiliated organizations
