The primary purpose of this position will be to provide clerical and administrative support for the clinical, education and research activities of the department faculty. Duties include, but are not limited to: typing/composing patient letters, or other correspondence; phone coverage; faxes; maintaining physician Outlook calendars; coordinating travel arrangements; handling travel reimbursement and license renewals, as well as process fee reimbursements.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
This position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and general office machinery. The selected candidate should be professional and have attention to detail. He/she should possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and strong customer service skills as a large portion of time is spent dealing with the public, university, hospital administration and referring physicians.
Healthcare administration experience in Orthopaedics or a related field. Epic experience
