The Nemours Children’s Health System is searching for an ABR-certified or eligible radiologist with pediatric fellowship training to join our faculty based at the Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL in 2019. Qualified candidates should have solid skills in the interpretation of all diagnostic pediatric radiology exams, excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to collaborate with clinicians to deliver the best in imaging care. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable additional training, experience, and interest in musculoskeletal imaging. The candidate would be expected to collaborate with our rapidly expanding orthopedic surgery and sports medicine programs. Local and potential enterprise level leadership opportunities within musculoskeletal imaging will be available for well-qualified candidates. Academic appointment at the University of Central Florida will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Nemours Radiology provides full pediatric imaging services (diagnostic and interventional) for the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, FL, Nemours Children’s Specialty Care in Jacksonville, FL, Nemours Children’s Clinic in Pensacola, FL, as well as staffs pediatric radiology at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Services are integrated within a single PACS with faculty working from common work-lists. In 2018, well over 300,000 imaging examinations were performed in the system. Faculty are licensed in both Delaware and Florida and credentialed throughout the system. By creating an integrated Nemours-wide Radiology department, there is now a critical mass of 38 pediatric radiologists, making it one of the largest pediatric radiology faculty in the nation. This critical mass has enabled marked improvement in report turn-around times, increased sub-specialization, dramatic increase in academic productivity, development of partner relationships with other hospital systems, and work on system-wide quality improvement and safety initiatives. Additionally, beginning in 2016, the department began implementing 24/7 in-house attending coverage with night duties shared among three dedicated night radiologists.
