The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) invites candidates to apply for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. We invite applications from outstanding candidates with expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and cell biology and research interests including but not limited to gene expression, genome/epigenome organization, or systems biology. The department is seeking to build teams of researchers in the aforementioned areas as well as synergize with research areas of strategic investment at IUSM. Toward this latter goal, we are particularly interested in researchers in one of the following areas: molecular basis for diabetes and metabolic diseases, cancer, regenerative medicine (and its underpinnings in developmental processes), and musculoskeletal disorders. The successful candidate will be expected to sustain an extramurally funded research program, participate in training students and post-doctoral fellows, and engage in collaborative research partnerships complementary to their scientific interests with members from the IUSM community.
