Department: IUPUI Physician Assistant Studies Program
The Department of Physician Assistant Studies in the School of Health & Human Sciences at IUPUI invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track faculty position beginning July 1, 2020. The successful applicant will teach and mentor graduate professional physician assistant students in the didactic and clinical phases. Teaching activities include classroom and hybrid teaching, small cased-based learning groups, simulation-based education, clinical procedures, and interprofessional education, while teaching in areas of expertise or program needs. Responsibilities also include student advisement, evaluation of students, course management, program admissions, program evaluation and accreditation, and service on committees. Clinical practice is encouraged and requires licensure in the state of Indiana. Faculty members have opportunities and support for scholarly activity and faculty development.
Position Duties: 70% Teaching 20% Service/Engagement 10% Scholarship

Master's degree or higher in physician assistant or complementary disciplines, including but not limited to medical or health professions education, evidence-based medicine, or medical science
Demonstrated potential for success in teaching.
Experience in physician assistant or medical education.
Scholarship of teaching and service are expectations for appointment to the clinical track.
Additional Preferred Experiences:
Ph.D. in a health-related field, D.H.Sc., M.D., or Ed.D.
Familiarity with ARC-PA accreditation standards
Clinical experience with inpatient medicine
