The Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is inviting applicants for a full-time position in the Musculoskeletal section on the Clinician-Educator track. Rank will be commensurate with experience. A strong interest in clinical research and a commitment to scholarly output in the field of musculoskeletal imaging is essential.
This is an opportunity to practice high quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal imaging with dedicated colleagues in a stimulating and supportive environment. Our radiologists work closely with rheumatology and orthopedic colleagues to provide cutting-edge, multidisciplinary care for patients. Our primary sites of coverage are at Yale New Haven’s York Street and St Raphael’s Campus in New Haven but additional coverage takes place at several of our Ambulatory Care Centers in surrounding New Haven and Fairfield Counties.
The department provides a fertile environment for scholarly success. It has a track record for first class radiology research and includes dedicated MR, PET and Image Process Analysis Research Centers. A Translational Image Analysis and Machine Learning facility has recently been created in order to advance clinical imaging AI research. In addition, a Vice Chair for Clinical Research has recently been appointed to provide resources, guidance and mentorship for faculty with academic ambition.
Applicants must be fellowship trained in musculoskeletal imaging and must have proficiency in CT, MRI, radiography and musculoskeletal image guided procedures. Interested applicants should be board certified or eligible and must be eligible for licensure in the state of CT. The applicant will be given time to participate in research and other scholarly activities. A commitment to teaching residents and fellows is required. Leadership roles and other opportunities for professional development are also available depending on the applicant’s interests, goals, and experience.
