Under general supervision, provides physical therapy services as directed by plan of care established by primary therapist. This will include progression of treatment, and patient and family education. Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care. Implement treatment programs, which include the use of physical agents, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.Integral to this professional's work is the treatment of an expanded patient caseload including patients with such complex problems as multiple disabilities, acute multi-trauma and/or complex orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries or conditions, including pre-operative and post-operative conditions affecting the spine and/or peripheral joints. Physical Therapist Assistant 2 assists Physical Therapists to collect data using standard tests and measurements. Eighteen months of experience as Physical Therapist Assistant 1, or equivalent.
