Responsible for assisting with laboratory duties in a research setting. Performs routine tests with direction from supervisor, manager or higher level technician.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists investigator or higher level staff with research studies, experiments and assays. Prepares solutions and collects data.
Assists with maintenance of mouse colonies and genotyping.
Maintains files on research and assists with data entry.
Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning.

This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Bone and Mineral Diseases located on the Medical School Campus.
This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Hours are generally normal business hours but may vary due to the timing for experiments and other research activity deadlines.
Bachelor's degree with prior basic research (wet lab) experience and animal experience.
Demonstrated ability to maintain complete and organized records/reports.
Working knowledge of computer software preferred.
Excellent skills in cell culture.
The hiring range for this position is $12.89 - $15.97 per hour.
