About the Job: A position for a technician is available in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Responsibilities include mouse husbandry, organization and update of records for multiple transgenic mouse lines, collection, culture and maintenance of primary cells. Molecular biology skills (e.g., genotyping, RNA extraction, qPCR, western blotting) are highly desirable. This position will require the applicant to train future lab staff/students and assist with general lab maintenance/administration.

Salary Range: $15.45 to $21.29 USD/hour
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.
High school degree or equivalent with some science courses and two years of experience in relevant academic and work experience may be substituted.
Previous experience with genotyping, RNA extraction, qPCR, and western blotting
Previous research experience in an academic healthcare environment
