The Department of Radiology’s subspecialties include Abdominal Imaging, Angiography and Interventional Radiology, Breast Imaging, Diagnostic Ultrasound, Emergency Radiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Radiology, and Thoracic Radiology. Technical modalities of CT, MRI, and Ultrasound are incorporated into many of the subspecialty sections.
We are currently seeking a full-time clinician/educator to serve as Chairperson of the Department of Radiology. The Chairperson will oversee the clinical and academic activities of the department and accredited ACGME residency programs, including:
Supervision of clinical activities in outpatient, inpatient and emergency
Collaboration with department chairs and the teaching hospital’s staff
Strengthening of existing clinical and didactic training programs
Recruitment and mentoring of faculty
Ensuring compliance to all State and Federal regulating agencies
Participation in committee functions, expansion of outreach to local Colleges and Universities for technology training programs
Administrative activities and responsibilities
Doctoral degree (M.D. or D.O.)
Candidate must have a New York State medical license and a current board certification by the American Board of Radiology
Knowledge and experience with Medical Informatics
3-5 years administrative experience
Proven record of successful leadership, administrative skill and academic achievement
