Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate as part of department leadership, directly oversees registration and support staff, coordinating work assignments, staff training and development, and monitors immediate outcomes of assignments, ensuring optimal quality and customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, accuracy and thoroughness

Staffing, Planning, Scheduling, Attendance, Hiring & Vacancies Identifies vacancies in staffing according to existing staffing plan as well as identifying gaps in staffing plan that may impact department outcomes & processes. Ensures that vacancies are made available to current staff & assists in planning & conducting recruitment & interviews. Identifies any trends in absenteeism & employee turnover & addresses possible solutions with department leadership.
Resources, Efficiency, Supplies, Payroll, Cost Control Participates in cost control activities by seeking the most effective method of delivering services & maintains an awareness of the cost impact of decisions & actions. Ensures department equipment & inventory is secure, well maintained & effective for required tasks.
Quality Outcomes & Processes Data KPIs, Process Improvement Ensures that documentation created & completed by Patient Access staff are audited regularly for completeness & accuracy. Ensures that data are collected & analyzed regularly as needed to improve performance. Routinely & systematically collects & analyzes data & assists with the implementation of corrective action plans as necessary. Conducts random and regular quality audits of both outcomes and processes, collecting data, &, as applicable, counseling staff based on the results.
Manage Daily Operations, Supervise Staff, Discipline Partners Plans & coordinates the daily operations of all registration areas in their location, to ensure that expected outcomes are accomplished in a safe, timely & effective manner, following established procedures, providing an excellent patient experience. Effectively delegates responsibility & provides support & information needed for a successful outcome. Assists in communicating & following up assignments, goals, objectives, & values effectively. Provides on call support for staff & supervisors as needed. Works closely with Assistant Director (Director at Brooklyn site) to improve operations; makes and implements recommendations to improve operations. Successfully plans, monitors, supports & improves multiple activities. In absence of Assistant Director (Director at Brooklyn site), acts on his/her behalf in all areas of operation and interpersonal issues.

Works closely with Patient Access leadership to review, adapt, & implement these plans & policies.
Organizational Awareness, Goals & Objectives, Mission, Strategic Thinking Utilizes Medical Center & Patient Access standards, policies, & procedures in making & communicating decisions for areas of responsibility. Helps to plan, implements, & directs processes that produce desired outcomes. Uses key performance indicators & other systematically obtained & analyzed data to manage operations & continuous performance improvement efforts. Ensures that Patient Access staff & leadership coordinate with Patient Access & Medical Center co-workers to complete work assignments during assigned shift. Demonstrates flexibility in adapting to & managing work time & work flow changes to meet the needs of the department & Medical Center.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of healthcare experience, including previous supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory or Lead experience within the Patient Access Dept. or other relevant department of the Revenue Cycle.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
