We are recruiting a second Advanced Practice Provider (Teaching Associate)- Physician Assistant or ARNP to partner with our orthopaedic surgeons on the orthopaedic oncology service at the University of Washington Medical Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Our Advanced Practice Providers work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that in addition to orthopaedic surgeons includes medical oncology, radiation therapy, orthopedic residents, other advanced practice providers and nurses. Our APPs are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in an inpatient, outpatient and operative setting. Positions are on an annual appointment. This is a 12-month service period position with an anticipated start date in the summer or fall of 2019.
1. Current Washington State Physician Assistant or ARNP License, or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA or ARNP program. Nationally certified PA-C or ARNP with DEA.
3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment in school or in practice.
4. Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of orthopaedic patients.
Experience in orthopaedic care preferred but we can train motivated and talented individuals.
