The CORL translational research group is active in international and national collaborations with emphasis on orthopaedic device development and validation. CORL is a GLP compliant research facility with a strong emphasis on regulatory preclinical trials. To assist and help ensure regulatory compliance (USDA and FDA) as it pertains to animal welfare and husbandry of Penn Vet CORL research animals. Primary responsibilities include 1) assisting with the perioperative care of sheep, goats, pigs and horses, 2) transport of animals to and from research facilities, 3) maintaining cleanliness of research barns and transport vehicles, 4) equipment maintenance, 5) assisting in the OR, 6) handling of animals for various procedures.
