Performs patient assessment, patient/family teaching and triage. Provides primary clinical support to the provider and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in medical record to ensure continuity and care. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction.
Reports to the Clinic Nurse Supervisor.

PATIENT SAFETY-Knowledge of the risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment, and the ability to take steps to reduce these risks.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS-Demonstrates oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS-Demonstrates basic navigation in a windows environment, and passwords and security. Accesses the internet, uses basic browser functionality, and understands policy on Internet usage. Demonstrates the ability to compose, send and read emails, understands email functionality and conventions related to replying
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required.
BLS certification required.
Minimum of six months experience required.

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER: (GMC), located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
