The Primary Sports Medicine Service (PSM) at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York seeks to add a dynamic physician at the assistant or associate level to enhance the clinical and educational activities of our growing program at our Stamford, CT office. Available Start Date: April 2019 Responsibilities: •Clinical practice providing comprehensive sports medicine care to adults and children. •Active role in the educational and administrative activities of the PCSM Service. •Team and sport event coverage opportunities are available. •The development of research projects, and/or collaboration in research is encouraged, but not required. Primary Sports Medicine Overview The PSM Service has 14 sports medicine physicians dedicated to treating athletic injuries. The mission of the Service is to care for active individuals and athletes of all levels, from elite to recreational. The members of the Service include nationally recognized leaders in clinical care and research. The PSM attending physicians have worked with professional, Olympic and college teams including 7 New York area professional sports teams, as well as other national organizations such as the New York Road Runners. HSS is also designated as a USOC National Medical Center, and a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. HSS and the PSM service offer the latest innovations in clinical care, performance, imaging and rehabilitation.
