Stanford Healthcare and the Department of Radiology at Stanford University are seeking a full-time radiologist for coverage of a newly acquired community hospital system in the East Bay. The position will be open rank in the Clinician Educator line. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualification and experience of the successful candidate. The major criteria for appointment for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. The position’s emphasis will be on clinical duties at ValleyCare, with the potential for teaching opportunities.
The applicant will have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s) or equivalent, must be board-certified or eligible in diagnostic radiology, and have completed a formal fellowship in any Radiology specialty or Nuclear Medicine or equivalent training. Clinical skills in Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pediatric Radiology, or/and Musculoskeletal Imaging are desired.
The position is part of a recently formed clinical practice and candidates will have the opportunity to help in continuing to shape and build the practice with the help of Stanford University School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology. The position will be providing imaging services to a community hospital in the East Bay Area and three additional outpatient centers. The position will have opportunities to receive additional training in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University. The department sub-specialty divisions will also be available for consultation. The ideal candidate will be energetic, have excellent interpersonal skills and have an interest in integrating into the referring community.
