Halifax Center for Family and Sports Medicine is looking to hire a full-time Family Medicine faculty member with experience in Sports Medicine to join our program in Daytona Beach, Florida! We are searching for a full time faculty physician that is trained/board certified in Family Medicine with a CAQ (or CAQ eligible) in Sports Medicine.
Our sports medicine fellowship provides medical support to local athletes including a minor league baseball team, 3 college/university athletic departments, 1 local high school, and countless weekend warriors and recreational athletes. The sports medicine faculty also oversee residents who enter the sports medicine track – an area of concentration that residents may enter if they are interested in pursuing a sports medicine fellowship.
Job responsibilities will include teaching in the family medicine residency through lecture and clinical precepting in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Sports medicine responsibilities will include local event coverage, training room rounds, and teaching while working closely with our sports medicine fellow in the training room and musculoskeletal clinic.
Applicants should have completed an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency and have their board certification in Family Medicine. Sports medicine fellowship training with a CAQ or pending CAQ required. Training and experience in MSK Ultrasound desired.

Both programs enjoy full accreditation from the ACGME. The sports medicine fellowship was established in 1997 and consists of 1 primary care trained sports medicine fellow annually. The family medicine residency was established in 1971 and consists of 24 family medicine residents as well as a dedicated faculty consisting of board-certified family medicine physicians that have a wealth of experience, an integrated EMR, and tremendous support from our institution and community.
