We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr Biller in the Orthopedic Surgery Department. To qualify a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of five (5) years of general medical billing experience required. The ability to use Windows based system, some Word processing and spreadsheet management. Good writing and communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail required. Positive attitude and professional manner in all communications and interactions with physicians, practice staff and fellow employees. Knowledge of spreadsheet software used for tracking activity, outstanding requests for information and statistics.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities and workload of one to four (1-4) Orthopedic Surgery Billing office staff consisting of general office tasks, pre-certification, claim submission with timely follow up. Patient financial counseling, accounts receivable, insurance appeals, and insurance verification. The position may be require to perform any or all duties of a Biller II, Biller, or Project Assistant as requested by supervisor. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
