Summary Description: The successful candidate will work with a team of researchers at the Robert E. Carroll and Jane Chase Carroll Laboratories (Carroll Laboratories) in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center, New York. The project focuses on the development of the tendon enthesis, with an emphasis on postnatal mineralization and maturation. Candidates should be highly motivated and independent, with expertise in musculoskeletal biology, in vivo experiments using transgenic and knockout mice, biomechanics, and molecular biology. Previous experience in mouse models and breeding, in situ hybridization, immunohistochemistry, and microCT bone morphometry is desired.Current research projects are funded by the NIH.
Minimum Qualifications: All applicants must have completed their degree requirements and have experience in musculoskeletal biology and biomechanics, in vivo experiments using mouse models, and molecular biology.
