The School of Medicine of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a well-qualified academic leader to serve as Chair of Orthopaedics. UNC Orthopaedics is a vibrant and growing department in one of the nation's premier public universities. Located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the department benefits from a rich academic environment in a growing area of the country. The Chair is to provide leadership and direction in research, education and clinical care in conjunction with the UNC School of Medicine, UNC Hospitals and UNC Health Care. The Chair of Orthopaedics is the senior administrative officer of the department responsible for the overall management, budget, personnel, resources allocation, academic planning and strategic growth for the department.
Education and Experience:
Must have a distinguished record of clinical excellence in Orthopaedics, research productivity, evidence of research collaboration, administrative skills, contributions to diversity, and a commitment to education.
