Research Associate, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Molecular Therapeutics Laboratory. Responsibilities include providing ongoing research related to the gene – and cell-based therapies to treat musculoskeletal diseases and injuries, such as: 1) viral vector-based gene therapy for musculoskeletal diseases; 2) ex vivo engineering of stem cells for tissue regeneration; and 3) gene-activated scaffolds for tissue healing. We are seeking an independent, self-starter candidate with multi-tasking abilities who can handle several projects concurrently. The applicant is expected to be highly productive and have proficiency in molecular biology and virology, cell biology and culture, PCR and western blot, animal models and handling, microscopy and tissue histology.
