We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Clear Unit Rep in the Finance/HJD Registration Department. To qualify a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associates Degree or 24 credits towards a college degree is preferred. One (1) year of healthcare customer service experience is preferred. Knowledge of insurance companies verification, benefit and eligibility tools including websites, etc. required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and creative problem solving skills required. The ability to sit, talk on the phone with patients and staff, while entering data in the computer required.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately obtain all pertinent patient demographics and financial/insurance information to properly record episode and to maximize reimbursement for the medical center. Including completing out of pocket liability calculations, and explain estimated cost to the patient, and collect monies. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Communicates and works as an effective team with all internal and external customers.
- Uses independent judgment and initiative to identify and resolve issues.
- Facilitates reimbursement for each episode of care, by determining and verifying payment sources and obtaining necessary payments and authorizations.
- Collects and distributes necessary data by conducting and documenting pre-registration, registration, and admitting processes.
