The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Comprehensive Hand and Upper Extremity Center is seeking a Chief of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. The Comprehensive Hand and Upper Extremity Center is collaboration between the departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Our medical center, designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center, is experiencing extraordinary growth including a $1.1 billion dollar expansion resulting in our James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and the recent addition of our brand new Crane Sports Medicine Institute. We offer medical and surgical options ranging from microsurgery, reconstructive surgery and joint replacement surgery for conditions spanning arthritic fingers to severed hands and everything in-between. In addition to patient care, teaching, and research the Chief will mentor residents and fellows in training. Candidate will walk into a very busy state-of-the-art Hand and Upper Extremity Center. Minimum qualifications: MD or DO; successful completion of orthopaedic, plastic or general surgery residency; successful completion of a hand fellowship including CAQ in Hand Surgery; Board Certified; Ohio medical license or ability to obtain an Ohio license; well-established academic credentials and be eligible to enter at the Professor or Associate Professor level.
