The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering invites applications by accomplished individuals with a PhD or equivalent in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related discipline. Applicants should have international stature in the biomechanics area. Specialties specific to general soft tissue, cardiovascular (including biofluid mechanics) or musculoskeletal biomechanics will be considered. The successful candidate will have a track record of well-funded research, broadly cited publications, a collaborative/entrepreneurial spirit, and professional qualifications consistent with appointment as full Professor. The candidate must have an active and successful research program that would complement or reinforce existing strengths of the University's Department of Bioengineering (http://www.engr.pitt.edu/bioengineering/).
