The NJ Center for Biomaterials (NJCBM) at Rutgers University is recruiting an exceptional candidate for a postdoctoral position in Decellularization-Recellularization of Neurovascular and Musculoskeletal Soft-tissues. The candidate will lead the currently funded and ongoing decell/recell research at NJCBM, focused on the harvesting, decellularization, recellularization and characterization of neurovascular bundles and neurovascularized muscle, towards vascularized composite tissue allotransplantation of hands and faces without the risk of rejection. In coordination with the leadership of NJCBM, you will build this exciting research area, develop new funding proposals, and prepare manuscripts for publication in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. To be successful in this position, you should be highly productive and enthusiastic about this research focus. Specific skills that will be very helpful include experience with in vivo surgical work, tissue engineering, decell/recell, histomorphometry, microscopy, electrophysiology, and excellent writing and presentation skills.
