A newly established Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Program at the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC Utrecht) is seeking three talented scientists in Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells. Our dedicated research program has a strong foundation in both clinical application of regenerative therapies and fundamental stem cell research. A PhD program on Regenerative Medicine is connected to the program and currently a separate master’s program on Regenerative Medicine & Technology is under development. The aim of the program is to translate pre-clinical stem cell/ tissue regeneration research to clinical treatments in the fields of stem cell based therapies and musculoskeletal and cardiovascular tissue regeneration. In order to facilitate the step from bench to bedside, the program wants to attract three highly talented researchers/clinicians with expertise in the field of translational stem cell research to start their own research groups at the UMC Utrecht. There will be one position available for each of the following fields: 1. Stem cell based therapies 2. Musculoskeletal tissue regeneration 3. Cardiovascular tissues regeneration Further details on each of the fellowships can be obtained by visiting the website careersatUMCUtrecht.nl.
The research program in Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells is a joint venture between the UMC Utrecht and the Hubrecht Institute for Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research. The program involves approximately 50 principle investigators and over 60 Ph.D. students.
