The Department of Radiology at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites applications for a senior faculty position and leadership role as Division Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology to join a busy multi-specialty practice group in the Division of Musculoskeletal Radiology.
The radiology department is fully digital and equipment is state-of-the-art, including an ED base GE-Veo CT, ultrasound, DR units, and 1.5 and 3T MRI. We have dedicated musculoskeletal ultrasound including specialty specific procedural technologists. Our Musculoskeletal Radiologists oversee all aspects of diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures for musculoskeletal department patients. We have a very active training program with a group of 32 bright residents who rotate through the musculoskeletal radiology division. We value our excellent collaborations with Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, the Trauma service, and our other radiology department specialty sections.
Responsibilities include management of the Musculoskeletal Radiology service, development of a research program focusing both on clinical and basic research, participation in clinical and/or basic research, patient care, active participation and oversight of resident and fellowship education, participation in interdisciplinary conferences, and collaboration with clinical colleagues. This is a Division Chief, senior faculty position requiring participation in Departmental activities geared towards the continued improvement and development of top-quality imaging and research projects.

The position requires a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist with hands-on experience in musculoskeletal radiology and a proven track record in managing a clinical service. A track record of grant funding will strengthen the application. The candidate must be board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and must be eligible to practice medicine in the State of New York. Narcotics license is desirable.
