The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant, Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Radiology with a focus on Musculoskeletal Imaging. Responsibilities include participation in and contribution to a high-quality teaching program as well as participation in a busy clinical division. In addition to the usual clinical skill sets (PF, CT, MRI, arthrograms/joint aspirations), competence in diagnostic MSK US and image-guided tumor biopsies will be expected. Responsibilities also include developing a research program focusing on practice innovation within Radiology. The successful candidate must also have an established track record of scholarly activity/publication, and be interested in a research career. Grant funding is desired but not required. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education, and research. American Board of Radiology eligible or certified and must have completed or currently be enrolled in an ACGME Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship training program.
Teaching activities in the Musculoskeletal Imaging Division include:
Daily clinical supervision of residents and musculoskeletal imaging fellows
Lecturing at assigned resident didactic conferences
Lecturing at musculoskeletal imaging fellow lecture series
Attendance and teaching at monthly follow-up conferences
Participation in monthly journal club meetings
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Division of Community Radiology and Penn Medicine Cherry Hill.
