This position will support the faculty, residents, and fellows of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the preparation for, conduct of, and completion of any and all Human Subjects Research projects and sub-projects in which they are engaged. The staff member is expected to show individual initiative and engagement in the role insofar as initial job duties as well as evolving Departmental and Institutional initiatives and requirements, training, and other aspects of the job in an increasingly competitive research, clinical, technical, and regulatory environment. This position will report administratively to the Director of Clinical Research at Penn Medicine University City (PMUC). The CRC-A for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery will also work on Department level research, education, and quality/process improvement initiatives as required. The qualified candidate should have up to date immunizations or be willing/able to comply with the immunization policies of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Also please be advised that irregular hours are expected including on-call and weekend service and/or after hours communications. Candidate must be able to travel between several locations.The Position is contingent on continued funding.
