We are seeking highly self-motivated candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in an NIH-funded lab in the Musculoskeletal Research Center at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine.
The lab is mainly interested in understanding novel mechanisms that regulate cartilage homeostasis, maintenance and pathology. The lab is also interested in the repair of cartilage and the discovery of novel factors that promote cartilage repair. Current studies focus on a novel peptide and cytokine receptor-like factor 1 (CLRF1) in cartilage homeostasis, maintenance, osteoarthritis pathology and cartilage repair.
Laboratories of the Musculoskeletal Research Center in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU School of Medicine are located in a new Research Building located within the NYU research super block area which contains the School of Medicine, laboratories of NYU Tandon School of Engineering, NYU College of Dentistry and NYU College of Nursing. The proximity of the Musculoskeletal Research Center to the basic and clinical research programs of these institutions promote productive environment for collaboration.

Qualified applicants must have strong knowledge and research experience in biology related to musculoskeletal tissues, molecular biology or cell biology. Candidates who received their Ph.D. recently with an outstanding publication record are welcome to apply. Applicants must be able to work independently and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
