Orthology is looking for a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic clinical team in our Union Square area office and help us change the game for musculoskeletal pain. Working in a high energy, collaborative environment, Occupational Therapists bring superior judgment and expert application of evidence-based treatment to get at the root causes of pain, break the cycles that perpetuate repeat injury, and rapidly restore full function. In this role you will help patients get back to living their lives to the fullest by applying clinical expertise to evaluate and deliver maximum patient outcomes. This Occupational Therapist will be working strictly with hands. Primary Responsibilities: Evaluate patients and develops treatment plans appropriate for patient functional limitations Skillfully apply manual therapy and other appropriate therapeutic techniques to address patient treatment needs Mentor, utilize and support clinical staff in efficient and effective patient care consistent with Orthology standards Develop a trusted "go-to" relationship with doctors, businesses & individuals Help ensure well-run clinical operations by leveraging enabling technologies and by completing necessary documentation and processing in a timely and quality way Stay current with trends and practices in occupational therapy treatment. Participate in clinical staff education, meetings and quality improvement programs for patient care and staff development projects Comply with all pertinent rules and regulations within the appropriate State Practice Act and the American Occupational Therapy Association's Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information Schedule patients for treatment and evaluations; Plans treatment programs with the patient and treatment team. Interpret and carry out the referrals of the physician and other providers; protection of confidential data; economic use of time, equipment and supplies; safety and welfare of patients and other employees Document intervention and strategies for treatment in required organizational systems Document assessment, measurable criteria, goals, method of treatment, home program and plan. Adapts plan according to patient's response to intervention Provide home programs and other educational information to patient and support systems prior to termination of therapy intervention Coordinate patient care programs with treatment team to facilitate and enhance functional outcomes. Assist in the review of program quality and development of procedures and protocols for the service area Utilize current research to analyze and improve clinical skills and decision making. Fabricate orthoses for a variety of non-operative and post-operative conditions with a variety of orthotic materials
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with license (or eligibility) in the appropriate state(s) Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred Education/Experience: 3-5 years of experience ideal, but new graduates will be considered Demonstrated ability to grow practice a plus Clinical leadership experience a plus Careers with Orthology.
