The Musculoskeletal Oncology Laboratory focuses research in osteosarcoma (OS) metastatic disease, as well as the metastatic potential in other sarcomas. The main focus is in establishing a vigorous, comprehensive sarcoma research program at the University of Pittsburgh with a long-term goal of translating new discoveries into clinical solutions for patients with metastatic sarcoma.
The Musculoskeletal Oncology Laboratory in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a Research Technician. This person will provide a supportive role in current research projects investigating novel therapeutic targets for sarcoma and bone metastases of breast cancer. This individual will also be responsible for assistance with regulatory documentation (IACUC, IRB, IBC, DUC, and MTA), lab organization, equipment maintenance, and purchasing.
