Critical Care CVICU and ICU Opportunities Physician Assistant, PA-C or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, ACNP Florida Hospital: Central Florida
SUMMARY: Serves as a member of the critical care team by assisting in management of critically ill patients in the hospital. Applies specialized skills and knowledge related to ICU settings in which they practice. Contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization. Providers will cover either Pediatrics or Adults and will be hired to cross cover both.

Position Details, Requirements:
Immediately available are opportunities in CVICU at Florida Hospital Orlando and Florida Hospital for Children--one of the busiest Cardio-Thoracic Centers in the Nation.
Opportunities are also available within Adult Critical Care including: Medical, Surgical and Neuro.
1-2 years’ experience as a PA-C or ARNP in one of the following: Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac ICU or Cardiovascular ICU
Transplant, L-VAD, Circulatory Assist Device and ECMO experience preferred but not required
Procedures performed but not limited to: Lines, Intubations and Chest Tubes

Credentialed, or in training for, the following procedure skills: oArterial line insertion oCentral line insertion oPulmonary artery catheter insertion oAirway management o+Standards for initial training, proctoring, and annual competency requirements are found in the FH Standards for Procedure Training.
Ability to provide in-hospital coverage on a rotating shift bases. The shifts may include days, mid, evenings, and nights.

Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Studies
1 – 2 Years’ experience in the ICU as a PA or ARNP
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
Current, valid Florida PA or ARNP license
Certification by NCCPA, ANCC, AANP or other nationally recognized certification organization BLS & ACLS
