We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Administrator - Nights. The Nurse Administrator functions as a clinical and administrative resource to nursing personnel and oversees overall patient care delivery and management. Develops and sustains an environment of excellence in patient/family service and satisfaction, growth and development of staff, and to apply evidence based practice to improve patient care. The Administrator ensures effective, efficient delivery of patient care services during non-business hours of hospital operation. In addition, the Nurse Administrator supports a shared clinical decision-making/relationship-based care professional practice nursing model. Evaluates quality of patient care and collaborates with Nurse Managers and other leadership personnel to promote and advance quality patient care during the night and weekend hours.
To qualify you must have a current Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York, a Master's of Science in Nursing with certification in Nursing Administration and/or clinical specialty preferred. At least three to five years of clinical leadership experience in an acute care setting with evidence of strong leadership potential. BLS, ACLS and PALS are requires. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative, team player, effective change agent; knowledgeable about the Magnet Process. Membership in professional organizations and/or specialty organizations desirable.
