The UCLA Department of Family Medicine and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA have an exciting new opportunity for a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician. This faculty physician will have a primary appointment in Family Medicine with a secondary appointment in Orthopedic Surgery. A qualified candidate must be a board certified family physician with fellowship training in sports medicine, who either holds a CAQ in sports medicine, or is CAQ eligible. The sought after candidate will join our teaching faculty in our Sports Medicine Program. Academic appointment will be in the Health Sciences clinical series with rank and salary commensurate with level of experience. Responsibilities include clinical care (in both sports medicine and family medicine clinics), teaching within an ACGME approved fellowship program, team physician duties at UCLA, participation in clinical research, curriculum design and other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion. Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound is required. California medical licensure is required.
Board Certification in Family Medicine
Completion of Sports Medicine Fellowship training
