DESCRIPTION An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Scientist position immediately available at the Orthopaedic Foundation.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct collaborative research under the direction of the Research Director and leading orthopaedic surgeons.
Synthesize results and write scientific reports, papers, journal articles, and abstracts for publication and presentation at national and international conferences.
Design and execute new and ongoing clinical research projects including data collection and analysis that supports and promotes ongoing research of the Foundation.
Ensures timely execution of research projects within the scientific framework of the Foundation with accuracy and attention to detail to advance the scientific impact of the Foundation.
Maintain an integral role in Department meetings, journal clubs and seminars, providing regular reports about results and contributing useful recommendations and analysis.
Contribute to the teaching, training, and scholarly activities of the Orthopaedic Foundation including mentoring research interns and sports medicine fellows.
Demonstrate ongoing commitment to learning through regular attendance of continuing education courses, seminars, and conferences.
EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE: Master’s or Ph.D. in related discipline with 2+ years of experience in orthopaedics, biomechanics, exercise science, or rehabilitation science (required).
REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an innovative approach to experimental design.
Computer literate with working knowledge of software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, and database).
Analytical ability sufficient to perform statistical analysis and compare data.
Established record of publication
