Nova Southeastern University (NSU) College of Allopathic Medicine is excited to announce that we have received preliminary accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). As part of our growth process, we invite applications from outstanding medical educators wishing to join an innovative, collaborative, and enthusiastic team. We are seeking faculty who have experience and expertise in building a curriculum and ultimately teaching the next generation of physician leaders. We are in the process of selecting the inaugural class of 50 students who will matriculate in August 2018. The Neurological sciences/Musculoskeletal Course Director (PBL Facilitator) will participate in the planning and implementation of the College of Allopathic Medicine's medical education program, which features an integrated case-based curriculum, sequenced by system, with foci on Research, Genomics, Inter-professional Collaboration, Biomedical Informatics and Leadership. The successful candidate will assist with LCME accreditation and engage in innovative scholarship and research to advance medical education and/or medical knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications and Abilities
Terminal degree (PhD, MD, DO) with specialization in one of the foundational science disciplines listed above
Evidence of excellence in teaching in a health care setting, preferably in a medical school.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
Experience in case-based learning (including Problem-based or Team-based learning)
Experience in LCME accreditation activities and development of new medical schools
The College is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
