The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and the Dell Medical School are seeking applications for a non-tenure track position with the primary appointment in the Division of Health Outcomes & Pharmacy Practice in the practice area of Ambulatory Care at an academic rank consistent with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience. This newly created position provides an exciting opportunity in direct patient care and teaching in the innovative Integrated Practice Unit (IPU) structure housed in the newly constructed, state-of-the-art Health Transformation Building. The IPUs are designed to transform healthcare delivery and support interprofessional, multidisciplinary, team-based care. Services will center on a “patient as partner” concept, promoting health and wellness while helping people manage diseases.
The successful applicant will provide patient care, lecture, facilitate practice laboratories, and supervise clinical clerkships for Pharm.D. students and residents. The primary focus of this position is to provide multidisciplinary, team-based care to patients in the Musculoskeletal IPU. Candidates with experience or training in pain management will receive top consideration.
The successful individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with tenure track and non-tenure track faculty on research and scholarship. The faculty member will be expected to provide service to the college, the university and the broader professional community.
Candidates must have an earned Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas, have successfully completed a specialty practice residency or equivalent experience, and be able to demonstrate effective teaching.
