The University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry is seeking a faculty member who shows promise as an emerging basic cell/ molecular biologist to fill an endowed professorship position in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences Department. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full time (12 month), tenure-track position at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor.
A Ph.D. in craniofacial developmental biology is required and DDS/DMD or equivalent is an additional preferred credential. We offer an energetic, collaborative and supportive research environment and the candidate will be expected to develop an independent, extramural funded research program related to craniofacial biology-disease or musculoskeletal diseases. Investigators with expertise in muscle or bone biology with an emphasis on muscle-bone interactions in diseases and/or development are encouraged to apply. There are numerous opportunities to establish collaborations with investigators focused on craniofacial and musculoskeletal diseases in the department, UMKC and neighboring institutions.
