Clinical Nurse, NICU
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing total comprehensive nursing to patients and their families through the implementation of a plan of care. The plan is based upon the patient's developmental and health care needs identified through the assessment of the patient's physical, psychological, socioeconomic status, and physician orders regarding care, treatment, and education.
•Requires one year clinical experience in a hospital setting
•Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required - or - current enrollment in an advanced education program through an approved educational institution where the nurse has passed NCLEX examination and end result of the program will be an advanced nursing degree (BSN/MSN). Candidate/employee is required to complete the advanced education program as scheduled.
•Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Applicable national certification in nursing preferred.
•Current license as an RN or valid Status P (Petitioner) temporary license in state of North Carolina with no substantiated findings required. Status P indicates RN has applied for permanent NC license.
•CPR, NRP within first year of hire.
•Hours of work: 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
•Weekend requirements: as needed
•Call requirements: two mandatory 12 hour shifts per six week schedule
Clinical Nurse Specialist, NICU
The clinical nurse specialist will work in partnership with nursing and physician leadership and serves as a change agent for bedside nursing practice utilizing best practices to develop, teach, guide and implement practice standards and policies.
•Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting and/or related experience in specialty area of specific patient populations required
•Master's degree in nursing required
•Current certification in neonatal specialty
•Current RN license and recognition by the NC Board of nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
